this slap was literally my favorite scene from the whole episode! not even the kiss, not elena’s love declaration to damon, but this slap, because it proves how much elena trully cares about damon. she was so worried that he would die, then furious that he wouldn’t take the cure. it’s an amazing expression of her love for him.
